A Maritime Service Provider typically refers to a company or entity that offers a wide range of services related to the maritime industry.
  • A seafarer is a person who works on a seagoing vessel, performing various duties essential to the operation and maintenance of the ship. This includes roles like captains, engineers, deck officers, and ratings. Seafarers are essential to global trade and the shipping industry, transporting goods across the world’s oceans.

To register a vessel, you must first sign up as a Maritime Service Provider on our website. After creating an account, choose the service type(s) you offer, such as "Shipping Line" or "Shipping Agent."

Once registered as a Service Provider, navigate to the "Vessel Registration" section. Complete the form with your vessel's details and submit any required documents. After submitting the form and paying the registration fee online, await confirmation. Once approved, you'll receive your vessel registration number and a digital certificate.

Fill the application form for Seaman Discharge Book for free and submit with the following:
•    copy of valid identity card or passport;
•     2 passport size photographs;
•    Copy of STCW certificates;
•    Contract document between the applicant and ship owner or his representative; and
•    Medical certificate from a recognized hospital/doctor.

GMA conducts inspection of ships in line with the Merchant Shipping Act, 2013 and Merchant Shipping Regulations, 2014. Ship owners/master/agents are required to present their vessels for inspection to the Administration. The Inspection may be due to different reasons, such as;
•    Application for Registration;
•    Application for Licensing;
•    Port State Control; and
•    Inspection of new ship.
