About Discharge Book

Gambians who work onboard ships are eligible for a Seaman Discharge Book which is issued only by The Gambia Maritime Administration at a cost of two thousand and five hundred dalasis only (D2500). Non-Gambians who work onboard Gambian registered ships are also eligible for a Gambian Seaman Discharge Book at a cost of D2500.

Requirements

1. Fill the application form for free;
2. Must be 18 years of age and above;
3. Copy of valid identity card or passport;
4. 2 passport size photographs;
5. Copy of STCW certificates;
6. Contract document between the applicant and ship owner or his representative; and
7. Medical certificate from a recognized hospital/doctor.
