The Director of Finance Binta Jallow-Ceesay is the head of the Finance Department of GMA and she is responsible for the management and administration of the department. Madam Jallow-Cessay oversees the accounting system and procedures for the Administration and provides reports, reviews, interpretation and advice on financial matters for GMA. She coordinates and supervises the implementation of financial functions and advises Management and the Board on Financial matters while she maintains proper financial and accounting records of the Administration.

The Director of Finance ensures the preparation of financial accounts and coordinates their auditing on schedule. In addition, she is the budget custodian, maintains budgetary control of the Administration, and provides quarterly and annual financial reports of GMA to Management and the Board. 

Binta Jallow Ceesay is a Chartered accountant and a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) with more than 15 years of experience in banking, auditing and maritime transport regulation. Madam Ceesay also holds a diploma in Maritime Matters and is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in Advanced Maritime Development. 

Madam Jallow Ceesay has brought to the team a wealth of experience and leadership qualities that have helped steer the financial affairs of GMA in a positive trajectory. Her expertise has led to significant improvement in GMA's finances since she joined the team in 2018, and this trend is expected to continue in the future.

Prior to joining GMA, Madam Jallow-Ceesay worked with Guaranty Trust Bank for 10 years. She headed several key departments, including serving as Group Head of Foreign Operations, responsible for handling foreign funds transfers, foreign and local trade operations and settlements, as well as Visa card operations.

She also served as the head of Systems and Control i.e.,  Internal Audit of the bank ensuring proper control measures and compliance. Prior to her employment at GTBank, she worked for Reliance Financial Services as Head of Treasury; Maersk Gambia Limited as Finance Executive; the Medical Research Council (MRC) as Senior Accounts Clerk; and the National Audit Office as Audit Trainee.
